Hi, I am Kristian!

Hi, I’m Kristian—portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Ashland, KY.

My world revolves around my husband, Richard, and our son, Kohen. Together, we love to travel, explore the outdoors, and spend as much time as we can with family.

My love for photography started early. I vividly remember begging my mamaw to let me use her camera so I could take pictures of my friends back in the second grade—and that spark never left. In 2015, my husband surprised me with my first DSLR, and from that moment on, I was hooked. I’ve spent every spare second since then learning, growing, and chasing the dream of becoming a professional photographer.

While balancing motherhood, marriage, and a full-time career as an Early Childhood Educator, I began photographing friends and family. What started as a passion slowly grew into a calling. In January 2024, I launched my photography page on Facebook, offering reduced-price sessions to build my portfolio and connect with future clients. Thanks to the love and support of my incredible community, my dream is becoming a reality—and Portraits by Kristian is a name people are starting to recognize.
